I'm not quite sure that getting rid of Gadaffi is such a great idea at all. Some say that Iraq was better off with Hussein. There was order in Iraq. My strong guess is that Western countries are after Libya's gas and oil, like they were and are in Iraq.
If the new Libyan government could turn their country into a North African Norway, then it would be fantastic, but I'm sceptical that they have any such plans.
Don't get me wrong, Gadaffi is a dictator and dictators should not be ruling any countries, but some say that a strong dictator is better than a weak democracy. If after the fall of Gadaffi's regime, the riches of Libya will fall into the hands of Western multinationals, the Libyan people will benefit pretty much nothing from their country's resources.
